Plumbers Local Union 17 located in Memphis, Tennessee has enjoyed a rich history since receiving its charter on February 7, 1890. The Local has withstood many ups and downs in the labor movement. For over 130 years Local 17 has taken pride in providing a retirement plan and healthcare for its membership. The membership continues to enjoy the 40 hour work week its forefathers fought to bring to the working class people.
